![]() ![]() I dont think pinning blame on one giant company is really useful here. But the thing that matters more is that content was definitely cut (mostly campaign wise) to keep the game on track for initially a 2020 release and then 2021. Not sure about "unfinished" clearly they met all of their day 1 release features or else they would have delayed further. It's not unfinished, and it's just getting started. Which was bad game design in my opinion, yet people still want it back cause it was in other games. Where they made it more skill based and less, hide around the corner and wait and one shot someone who has zero chance. Same situation for the shotgun in infinite. It's "iconic" but they left it out for balance reasons. ![]() There's always new to me replace the old, they've always don't it that way. Like we are supposed to have every gun, every vehicle, every map, that we had before on TOP of all this new shit. I feel like people think this game should have just been on top of everything that came before. What are people going to say at the end of the year when the game suddenly has more content than any halo game ever? There is also like absolutely 10x+ unlocks for FREE than any other game in the series with significantly more depth in customization. And everything else, like the helicopter thing, is coming in updates too. Yes, there is "missing" stuff from other games, BUT there are other things that other halo games DONT have that takes its place. They also have like a half dozen new game modes (maybe more, don't quote me) PLUS the game, after season 4, will have the most maps in the series lol. Forge and the custom games browser are good examples. ![]() But when something is added it's flat out better than what came before. It's just the nature of live service.ĭo you have to wait longer? Sure. Halo infinite is inevitably going to be the biggest halo game ever made. Cause it was far more consistent even for a the best players. And because of absurd absurd broken bloom which was twice as bad as if is now, resulted in people double meleeing most kills. You'd just have your shields broken, melees could only kill if shields were entirely broken. So you could have a sliver of shields, and not die to a melee. It didn't work like it does now, after 343 fixed it. Party game modes were fine.and it's "ranked mode" was all messed up too. Do you remember the broken credit system, that took even longer than the insane amount of time it took post patches? And everyone abusing bugs to get more credits cause it's take dozens of hours for a single shoulder piece?Īrmor lock broke matchmaking entirely at launch. I WOULD argue halo reach had a worse launch than infinite in terms of balance and bugs. Point is, halo games historically have bad launches. And I think we still have a bit in general, before these media companies are able to get their projects back on track. Even the most beloved "for the gamers" devs like cdpr. Everyone, everyone, struggled releasing games during that time. Not to get into it to much, but the context surrounding development and the problems they had, also makes me far far more sympathetic here. I can find other things to do for a bit, just a game lol. They are self aware with this stuff.Īnd so, I'd all I have to do is wait a little longer, oh well. If the game has monetization like destiny, (the worst in the entire industry ironically enough, by far) I'd be salty. And basically only having to pay for one battlepass and the credits pay for themselves. Never played a free to play game with so much free customization. It's definitely not over the top, not super in your face, cheap as hell relatively speaking. And their monetization has been great honestly. ![]()
